Logitech G703

The logitech G703 is a gaming mouse that did not get a lot of attention after its launch. There are almost no reviews to be found on the internet or on YouTube so we are here to give this mouse some well deserved attention.

The G703 has more of a basic design and can be compared to mice like the Steelseries Rival 3 or Rival 600. A smooth curve and no sharp or pointy edges make this design very elegant and this is noticed in the comfort. The side grips on this mouse are one of the best grips to be found and can be compare to the sandstone touch on Oneplus devices but less rough. My hand rests perfectly on the mouse in palm grip with slight curves on the mouse buttons for my fingers. On the left side are two buttons for back/forward and they are the right size. Big enough for easy access but not to big to give accidental button clicks. All buttons give a nice feedback but here I find the only downside to be the scroll wheel. The click here is rather soft making fast double clicking difficult. This can be a downside in games like COD or Apex legends where I have the mouse wheel click set to ping targets. The scrolling of the wheel feels good with nice feedback and grip but is not as sturdy/clicky as the G502 which has a metal scroll wheel. The difference can be felt between the rubber wheel of the G703 and the metal one of the G502. The wheel of the G703 has an RGB light strip in the middle together with an RGB “G” logo on the body. Personally I turn this off as it only takes up battery and your hand covers all the RGB anyway.

The weight of the G703 is good. It is not the lightest mouse out there with its 95 grams but it is not heavy either although it is a wireless mouse. My previous mouse was the old G502 (120 g) which is still a killer mouse but the G703 is lighter than my old G502, even with the added 10g weight. It doesn’t compare with the Glorious Model O or the Logitech G PRO though with 67 g and 80 g respectively. In general, a good weight balance is going on in the G703.

Tracking is very accurate and the gliding of the mouse is perfect. No hiccups were noticed during my test period. On the bottom of the mouse is also the on/off switch with a color indicator if it is on (blue) or off (red). In terms of battery life, I get around 28-30 hours of battery life which is decent but not the best in the market. Battery life will not be an issue when you take the (rather costly) PowerPlay options. In this case the mouse is wirelessly charged through the mousepad.

In general, the G703 deserves some more attention as this really is a good and simple yet professional wireless gaming mouse. For those searching for a comfortable, not too heavy in the wallet, wireless gaming mouse, then go check out the G703.
